Gothenburg 1985 - 90
Job selection process
Both offered me the same, good pay and regular paid continuing education, even free housing for 6 months to settle down in the community, so it was very difficult for me to make a choice.
I made a comparative value analysis of the two because to me was offered from both of them with exactly the same benefits. Also in value analysis, each received 5 plus points and 5 minuses. That was the reason I didn't know which one to choose. I prayed for guidance and then remembered the recruitment interviews as a whole.
A job near Stockholm did not arouse any spiritual interest other than being closer to my church and my believing friends. During the visit to Gothenburg there were three particularly positive things. When I got there, the spring was 2 weeks longer than in Stockholm and the sun was warming up. I felt deep joy and peace within me. I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Before I stepped in the tram to travel to Knipplagatan, I asked an older man at the stop in English where I should step out the tram. He replied kindly that he would travel a little farther than that stop and promised to say me, when we'll arrive at my stop.
When we reached the right stop, he told me that it was here, smiled kindly and patted my shoulder, wishing British a good day(?) He thought I was British because of my dress and my speech. I had a navy blue uniform.
Decisive factors when choosing a job
The recruitment interview at VFK Ab went smoothly. A smartly dressed middle-aged man sat in an office manager' chair and interviewed me, and a beautiful dark-haired woman I thought was a secretary wrote down my answers. When the man got an interrupting call and went to another room to talk, I joked to the woman, "I wonder, what nice have you written about me into your memo?"
The woman replied, "If it bothers you, I can leave."
I answered her: "Not at all! Sit in peace, for you too have to do something for your bread". After hearing it, she smiled beautifully. Just then, as in the Holy Spirit, I saw a revelation about that woman and heard the Adonai to say, "She is my chosen and beloved. You will come and testify to her about me." That will come true and I will come back to it later.
I chose VFK Ab
After I made the choice, I asked the Lord for a memorial verse from the Bible. I received the following: "We do not have a permanent home town here, but we are looking for the future." I said goodbye to my friends at Filadelfia parish and gave up my rental apartment in Huddinge, suburb in Stockholm.
After arriving at VFK Ab *) in Gothenburg, I was very welcomed. The woman I thought was the secretary, was the director and owner of that Consulting Office! I was given a small apartment for 6 months at Gropegårdsgatan' Bachelor Hotel. The firm did undertake to pay rent for that time, and after that time I had to find a permanent dwelling in or near the city.
I found it a little later praying because a smart Finnish elderly lady rented her apartment for me for a fixed period of time in Angered, Fänkålsgatan, about 9 miles northwest of Gothenburg city center.
*) VFK Ab = Västra Frölunda Konsult Ab.
It corresponded to the Finnish Engineer office. All the consultants employed by it were, as in Finland, either college engineers or DI-level engineers. My business card was labeled Civilingenjör (M.Sc.).
Memorial at Ramberg hill in Gothenburg
There happened something special at a bachelor hotel on the Gropegårdsgatan, Ramberg hill. I lived there for the first 2 months and got to know a Finnish unemployed man living in the same dorm, alias Pentti. He went to the same Christians' tea house once a week as I too. When he hadn't seen there for three weeks, I went to ask that was he healthy?
He invited me to his room and said he hadn't been able to walk a step for two weeks because his right leg had been very sore.I knew Pentti so much that I knew his unhappy life and that he was a lonely man who had originally moved from northern Finland to Gothenburg to work at Volvo factory. He was unable to work because he was constantly sick and stunted. As a result, he was permanently retired already at the age of 45.
I asked his permission to pray for his foot to heal. He agreed. First, I prayed quietly in my heart, and when I felt the power of the Holy Spirit shed love inside me, I put my hand on his sick foot and said, "In the name of Jesus Christ, I tell you the sickness and the pain that has afflicted this foot: 'Leave it now, and come not again!' ". At that time I got hired an apartment from Angered and forgot soon that incident that happened in 1985.
Later, while living in Turku in 1995, he called me and said he had lived in Eskilstuna after Gothenburg and is now about to move to Turku and so he did. Right at the start of the call, he told that his aching leg had been healed that afternoon when I had prayed for him there at the Gropegårdsgatan's bachelor Hotel. It was nice to hear it.
I will now return to the events in Gothenburg in 1985.
City tour
Initially, a man I thought as the head of a consulting firm, alias Stig, took me to that bachelor hotel on May 1, 1985 and said that I didn't have to work in the office yet, but I could spend the whole month relaxing and exploring the city! He took me in his car for a city tour starting to showcase a number of taverns and pubs.
When I said I was a sober and confessing Christian, he began to present many different churches, even a synagogue! I wondered how he knew churches and taverns and when I asked him he laughed and said he had been a tourist guide in the city for about 5 years.
He also introduced the Finnish Pentecostal Church for me, which I then visited and joined for years 1985-87. When I did not experience it as my home church, I quit my membership in it and went to Swedish Smyrna Church a few times but did not join it. There was sung some of the familiar spiritual songs for me. It was a Pentecostal church too.
A vision of the conquest of Sweden' three largest cities
Then I got out of bed and worshiped him. Soon I fell asleep and saw a sleep, like a color film. I was at a Christian meeting in the summertime and was sitting on the balcony next to the inward opened window because the room was hot. With the window open, I suddenly started to hear very loud noises, as if a large crowd were rioting in the center of Gothenburg.
The window was open in the direction of the city center and I looked out why people were screaming and making noise (?) Then I saw the rider swiftly rode towards the big Temple I was in. The horse was carbon black. It quickly continued its journey towards the city Malmö.
Then I listened to the preaching in the Temple for a while until I began to hear the screeming of a large crowd from the city (Gothenburg) again. Then I saw another rider ride horse fast toward the big Temple where I was. I heard a voice saying, "Look closely at the color of this another horse!"
Even though it rode very fast without its hooves touching the ground, I could see that its color was reddish brown. After that, I saw many people, especially the elderly, who quickly fled suitcases in their hands to the west, having to leave the rest of the property to the occupiers. They were on their way to the US.
I asked a gray-haired man, "What's going on right now?" He replied, "Let's now record who's on the Communist side and who's not." I then went to the Temple and warned everyone saying, "He who is on Jesus' side, move quickly out of Sweden. If you are a communist, stay here." Only a few people from that Temple left the country.
I understood in that sleep the message that those two riders had come from Stockholm, which they had first occupied. Then they conquered Gothenburg and finally Malmö. According to Revelation, a black horse means severe famine, and a red or red-brown horse means a big sword and war.
Logically thought the same "horses" and their riders had conquered first all of Finland and then Stockholm, but no time was told in the prophetic sleep.
A memory of a quite similar revelation in Turku
Later, when I was living in Turku, the following real incident happened in connection with that dream. In the summer of 2017, I had just been studying the significance of those different colored horses for future events, according to the Bible's Revelation book. Then I made the usual evening walk in Suikkila Running Track, near my home.
I got back from there, I was deep immersed in my thoughts and was walking slowly from the adjoining ABC station towards the Peili puisto's walk path (a small park with a narrow path) next to the hig-rise house, where I live. Suddenly, I was startled when a man in a reddish riding suit rode with reddish brown horse along that walkway very quickly, making sandstorm up the path. The park is not allowed to ride at all!
When rider was right in front of me, he looked at me, smiled, and quickly continued his journey with his red-brown horse, the horse's mane flaring in air. Horse curved steeply to the left, and at the same time riddar leaned to the left and rode along narrow sidewalk where he was not permission to ride at all!
It was like a real event, though it may have been just a revelation seen in nature (?) That Revelation has a prophetic significance to the future destiny of Finland. According to it, the whole of Finland will be invaded very soon! That walkway has never been allowed for riders or mopeds! I had never before seen horse-riders in it, and not after that neither!
